As a small private practice, our priority is to provide personalized, compassionate care in a safe and welcoming environment where every client feels seen, heard, and valued. We strive to create a calm, trustworthy space that fosters healing, growth, and resilience.

We believe in empowering clients by building on their strengths and equipping them with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and thoughts of self-harm. Through a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship, we help clients develop greater confidence, emotional well-being, and a renewed sense of hope.

Take the Rein Counseling Center offers individual therapy, couples and family therapy, and equine-assisted psychotherapy, allowing each client to experience care that is personalized to their unique needs, goals, and journey toward healing.

We are currently providing services to individuals under the age of 18. We look forward to serving you.

My name is Andrea, and I founded Take the Rein Counseling Center with the goal of expanding access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care in our rural community. 
My counseling journey began in 2016 with a mission to normalize conversations around mental health and provide a safe, supportive space where children, adolescents, and families can heal and grow. Over the years, I have developed specialized experience working with children, adolescents, and individuals experiencing anxiety, allowing me to provide personalized, evidence-based care tailored to each client’s unique needs. 
At Take the Rein Counseling Center, we are committed to making therapy as accessible as possible by offering bilingual services, both in-person and telehealth appointments, and a welcoming environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Shakira is a 11 year-old Quarter horse. She is Centenario's mom. She is a free spirit and kind horse. You might find this image familiar, they made it to our brochure cover page!!

Centenario

Centenario was born at Take the Rein Counseling Center in 2022. He brings a smile to anyone who comes near. 

Capricho

Capricho is an Andalusian horse. He is 15 years old. He is such a playful soul. He will follow you for apples. He is so loyal and protects the horses at the ranch.

Chickens

Patients have access to the facility's chicken coop.

Goats & Peaches the pig 

Patients have access to the facility's additional farm friends.

Max

Patients have access to the dogs, if they wish. This is Max, our 11 year-old dog.
